Additional In Home and Occasional Care places, funded by the Australian Government

The Australian Government has more than one and a half thousand dollars to allocate to Occasional Care providers and In Home Care providers. The application process is open now until the 9th March, 2012.
“The Australian Government understands that centre-based care may not be suitable for all Australian families, and that some families may require more flexible care arrangements,” Kate Ellis, Minister for Early Childhood and Child Care, said.
“We believe in giving parents choice when it comes to child care, which is why we support a range of options from long day care and family day care to flexible centre or home based care.”
“That way parents can choose what works best for their family.”
The allocation will mean more available places to help families in need of child care.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is seeking applications from existing and prospective operators of In Home Care and Occasional Care services, interested in receiving an allocation of In Home Care or Occasional Care places.
Application Forms for this funding close 9th March 2012.

  1. Fantastic news...i use to coordinate an In Home Care service so know how valuable it can be to families, especially in rural areas...it is a shame they have such narrow eligibility margins though!
