HAPPY BIRTHDAY all you October Babies

October is spring in Australia, the flowers are in bloom and the sand and surf are calling.

Did you know the gemstone of October is the Australian Opal which you can still be lucky enough to find in north eastern New South Wales. Every opal is unique and Australia supplies around 95% of the world's opals.  Opal is said to be able to bring happiness and healing, help with depression and with finding true love. Opals have been mentioned in the Aboriginal dream time stories, some of which say that the opal was left by an ancestor to symbolise his or her presence.
